About Us… After ten years of full time ministry, we answered the call of God to plant a church and 24/7 House of Prayer in downtown Greensboro.

Center City Church was launched in April 2005.  The first couple of years, the church met weekly in a movie theater.  Then, in February 2008, we moved into our new downtown facility at 233 Commerce Place.

The Lord is moving in power and we're experiencing new realms of glory every time we meet. Center City Church has been called for such a time as this.  To help raise up an army of people that know who they are in Christ and are walking in their destiny.

Part of the vision for CCC is to establish a 24/7 House of Prayer.  Upon moving into the new facility, we hit the ground running.  In March, Friday Night Prayer began, then in mid-summer Saturday Night "Encountering God" was added, and in September several other prayer watches were added. Prayer times will continue to be added...until it's 24/7!

Every time we meet, whether its for prayer or for Sunday Worship, the presence of the Lord is here in power.  We have experienced the glory of the Lord and are forever addicted.

We Believe… that the Bible is the true and inspired Word of God.  We believe we are called to supernatural living,  releasing God's kingdom everywhere we go.  Bringing hope to a hopeless generation and fanning the flame of His presence.

"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth (Greensboro) as it is in heaven."

Matthew 6:10

"And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.  "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons.  Freely you have received, freely give."  Matthew 10:7&8

Senior Leaders...

Dan and Sherri Colvin

Dan and Sherri Colvin are the Senior Leaders of Center City Church.  With the vision to train and equip believers to live a supernatural lifestyle, to see people set ablaze with burning passion for the presence of God.

We desire to see people walking in the fullness of the Lord. Living under an open heaven where breakthroughs, healings, and miracles are part of all of our daily lives.

The Lord has given us the vision to see a 24/7 house of prayer in Greensboro.  We are called to pray down the manifested glory of God onto the streets of our city.  Through Him, the addicted are set free, the blind receive sight, and the broken are restored...all for HIS GLORY.

We are a church that believes a city can be transformed by the power and presence of God.  We are called to be releasers of His kingdom into Greensboro.

If you're looking for a church family that is after the fire of God, we invite you to visit us.  Our service times are listed on the home page.

Looking to Him in expectation,

Dan and Sherri

The House of Prayer @ Greensboro

Directors:  Rick and Tara McCoy

Rick and Tara McCoy graduated from Central Bible College in 1998.  Rick received his BA in youth ministries and Bible.  Tara received her degree in Bible and Christian education.  They were married in 1998 and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to help plant a church there.  It is in Utah that they were ruined for the presence of God and passionately pursued His presence and glory.

Over the next ten years they moved to various states youth pastoring and releasing the fire of God.  Four years ago they felt the Lord was going to lead them in a new direction and transition them out of youth pastoring.  Last year, they read the book Red Moon Rising.  It was then, they knew their heartbeat was for 24/7 worship and prayer.

They moved to Greensboro, NC to join Dan and Sherri Colvin in the vision for a prayer center in the city.  It is Rick and Tara's desire to see a city transformed by the glory and presence of God.  They have a heart to see people walking in their destiny, knowing who they are in Christ and to experience freedom and creative expression in worship.  The cries of their hearts are "Your Kingdom Come On Earth As It Is In Heaven."  If you would like more information on The House of Prayer, or how you can be involved in 24/7, please contact Rick & Tara.
